Job summary

Orchard Care Homes is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join Paisley Lodge in Armley, Leeds. The role focuses on delivering person-centred care for residents with complex mental health needs, leading a dedicated clinical team, and ensuring high standards of care.

You will work 22 hours per week on day shifts, with an emphasis on safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, and Mental Health Act compliance. A supportive employer with development opportunities and a welcoming team awaits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experienced in mental health care and person-centred planning.
• Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, MCA, DoLS, and safeguarding legislation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to coach and develop colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Developing person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
• Leading the care team in delivering meaningful, empathetic support.
• Promoting independence, choice, and positive engagement.
• Liaising with families, external professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supporting best interest decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act.
• Conducting supervisions, appraisals, and coaching care staff.
• Ensuring compliance with NMC standards and Orchard policies.

Salary: £25.57 per hour

Hours: Part-time, 22 hrs per week, Day shifts
