Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Hexham, part of the Cygnet Group, is seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the women’s mental health unit on a 42-hour weekly contract.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, maintain documentation, participate in CPD, and work with the team to develop care plans and administer medicines in line with NMC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current RMN with valid NMC Pin number.
• Experience in mental health care and patient recovery.
• Ability to maintain documentation and conduct audits with integrity.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and risk reduction.

Responsibilities

• Produce outstanding nursing assessments and observations.
• Work with management to audit, improve quality and services.
• Attend training and CPD to expand nursing knowledge.
• Maintain complete, collaborative care plans with residents and staff.
• Administer medicines in line with guidelines and procedures.

We are looking for aRegistered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working42hours a weekatCygnet Hospital Hexham. This is our 27 bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs. The hospital has been designed to improve mental health within a therapeutic environment.

Situated amongst the soft fields and meadows of the Tyne valley, which is known for its abbey, leafy parks, and mix of independent shops, the hospital provides an important and much-needed service for women within the North East of England.

Your day-to-day…

• Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments & observations
• Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, & improve quality
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
• Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals
• Administer medicines within healthcare procedure & Healthcare Commission guidelines
