Job summary

Cygnet St Augustine's is hiring a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our 32-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit in the UK. You’ll work full time, averaging 42 hours per week with 12.25 hour shifts including days and nights.

Newly qualified or experienced RMNs with a current pin will find a supportive team, robust training, and opportunities for progression in a specialist facility focused on patient recovery and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must be an RMN with current Pin Number.
• Under NMC guidelines, ensure care plans are complete and maintained with residents, relatives and other health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Work with management to develop the service, audit, and improve quality.
• Attend training and CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
• Administer prescribed medicines per healthcare procedures.

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You will be working full time, an average of 42 hours per week (12.25 hour shifts – days and nights), making a positive difference at Cygnet St Augustine's.

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Cygnet St Augustine’s is a 32 bed specialist high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men. Our fantastic facilities and multi-disciplinary treatment programme are designed to assist individuals with their return to community living. Those placed with us often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.

Your Day-to-Day…

• Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
• Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
• Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.

• Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
• Newly Qualified or Experienced RMN with a current Pin Number
• Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits
• Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
• Able to deputise in a clinical lead role• Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
• Helping to empower & support service user independence.
