Job summary

Care in Mind is launching a new three-bed Ofsted-registered children's residential home in Leeds, dedicated to trauma-informed care for children and young people with complex mental health needs.

As Registered Manager, you will establish the service from day one, lead a skilled team, ensure high standards of care and compliance, and work closely with local authorities, schools and CAMHS to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current or previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care.
• At least two years' recent experience working in children's residential services.
• Experience managing and supervising teams within a residential setting.
• Experience working within Ofsted-regulated services.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to achieve this qualification (fully funded).
• Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and legislation relating to looked-after children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the three-bed residential home and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage and develop a staff team to provide high-quality care.
• Collaborate with local authorities, schools, CAMHS and stakeholders.
• Oversee safeguarding, quality assurance, and regulatory inspections.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively.
