Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking a resilient Registered Manager to lead a brand-new three-home children's residential provision in County Durham. You will shape culture, oversee admissions and care planning, and ensure trauma-informed, child-centred practice across all sites.

You will manage staff, drive excellent outcomes, and work with senior leaders to influence strategic development while ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding across Ofsted governance.

Qualifications

• Five+ years working with children in residential care.
• Two+ years' management experience.
• Experience in Learning Disabilities and/or Emotional/Developmental/Behavioural (EDB) children's services.
• Experience as a Registered Manager or senior leader in a children's residential setting.
• Proven track record of achieving at least a Good Ofsted outcome.
• Level 5 qualification in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead the provision through Ofsted registration and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Recruit, coach, develop and retain an exceptional staff team.
• Create a positive, consistent, child-centred culture across all three homes.
• Champion safeguarding and promote welfare and best interests of every child.
• Oversee admissions, care planning, risk management and records.
