Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking a Registered Manager / Deputy Manager to lead a three-bed residential home for young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs. You will ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance while guiding a dedicated care team.

The role offers a salary between £33,000 and £45,000 with full-time permanent status and a strong focus on professional development and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in residential childcare or similar setting.
• Experience supervising and leading a team.
• Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or equivalent.
• Experience developing and implementing personalised care plans.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare - working towards or willingness to undertake.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and direction to the care team.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people and support their individual needs.
• Encourage participation in educational, recreational, occupational and social activities.
• Develop and review personalised care plans and programmes to support individual development.
• Keep staff informed of daily plans, priorities and individual support needs.
• Support induction of newly admitted young people.
• Review care records and related documentation.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and ongoing development of staff.
• Manage activity-related funds appropriately.
