Job summary

Active Care Group in Caterham is recruiting a Registered Manager for Woodland Court, a specialist supported living service for adults with complex needs. This full‑time role (42 hours per week) offers leadership across governance, quality and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, person‑centred care.

You will lead on on-going improvements, maintain safe staffing, manage budgets, and build strong relationships with families, commissioners and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Significant management experience within adult health and social care services.
• Ability to register with the CQC as Registered Manager and meet regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, MCA, DoLS and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience leading safeguarding investigations, governance and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational performance, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Provide visible leadership and delegate to deputies and senior staff.
• Drive a high‑performing, person‑centred culture and oversee governance activities.
• Ensure safe staffing levels, manage budgets, and monitor occupancy and finances.
• Maintain relationships with families, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
