Job summary

Careermakers Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Children’s Registered Manager to lead a Children’s Residential Care Home in Manchester, delivering high-quality care for children and young people with diverse needs.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure Ofsted compliance, and develop a dedicated team to achieve strong outcomes. NVQ Level 5 or equivalent is required, with prior managerial experience in children's residential settings.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential home is required.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and compliance requirements.

Position: Registered Manager Childrens

Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (Dependent on experience) + £5000 bonus

Hours: Full time

CareerMakers are recruiting for an experienced Children's Registered Manager to lead a Children's Residential Care Home in the heart of Manchester, providing exceptional care and support for children & young people with various needs.

The home is part of a well-established care provider, recognised for delivering outstanding care across children's and adult services. As the Children's Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance, while leading and developing the team to establish a successful, high-performing service.

Responsibilities as a Registered Manager:

Lead and inspire a dedicated team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care and support for children and young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements, and quality standards while driving continuous service improvement.

Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes and promote independence.

Requirements as a Registered Manager:

NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent or willing to work towards)

Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential home

Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspections, and compliance requirements
