Job summary

Medical Update Online in Hartlepool is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children’s residential home. You will oversee day-to-day management, safeguarding, Ofsted compliance, and the development of a dedicated staff team to deliver high quality care for young people with EBD.

Applicants should have at least 2 years in residential childcare, be capable of senior leadership, and be working towards a Level 5 Management qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years residential childcare experience.
• Experience at senior or management level.
• Level 5 Management qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Good knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and SCCIF.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities

Job description

Location: Hartlepool
Salary: £55,000 - £57,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday Friday, 9am 5pm
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, to lead a brand-new children s residential home in Hartlepool.

The home will support children and young people aged with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity to shape a new service from the outset, build your own team and create a positive, child-centred environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the home, including:

• Supporting the Ofsted registration and inspection process
• Recruiting, managing and developing the staff team
• Ensuring high standards of safeguarding and care
• Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
• Managing budgets and operational resources
• Building relationships with local authorities, families and professionals
• Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people

About You

We are looking for someone with:
