Job summary

CareTech is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead an adult residential service for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. You will be accountable for safe, high-quality, person-centred care and for driving performance, staff engagement and continuous improvement.

You will manage a high-performing team, oversee recruitment, training, and supervision, and ensure regulatory compliance and robust data practices to support positive outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Health & Social Care qualification or working towards.
  • Leadership/Management qualification Level 3 or equivalent.
  • IOSH Working Safely is desirable.
  • Experience as a CQC/CIW Registered Manager.
  • Experience safeguarding adults and with statutory authorities.
  • Strong leadership, recruitment and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team.

  • Deliver regular supervision and professional development.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our adult residential services supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Quality & Compliance – Leading with Integrity
  • Overall accountability for the safe, effective running of the service
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC and regulatory standards
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, KPIs, and service development planning
  • Maintain high standards of record-keeping and data management
  • Conduct spot checks and participate in the on-call rota
  • Promote dignity, independence, and person-centred care in all interactions
People – Inspiring & Developing Teams
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Manage recruitment, induction, training, and performance
  • Deliver meaningful supervisions and support professional development
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and values-led culture
  • Handle investigations, complaints, and HR processes as required

Commercial & Operational Management

  • Drive occupancy and ensure efficient delivery of commissioned hours

  • Balance quality care with sustainable service delivery, We are a well-established, nationwide healthcare provider. Our homes are specialist mental health services and are established, offering adults person-centred care. We carefully develop and adapt homes to meet the varying needs of adults with mental health needs. The services are carefully located within thriving communities, offering a variety of educational, recreational, and social activities.

We provide a positive impact on the service experience of people with mental health difficulties who may be experiencing emotional distress. This primarily involves support using a person-centred approach. Our support workers measure outcomes specifically to an individual's needs and evidence using our person-centred outcome-measuring tool. Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment. The disclosure expense will be met by the employer.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
  • Level 5 Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Leadership/Management qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
  • IOSH Working Safely (desirable)
  • Previous experience as a CQC/CIW Registered Manager
  • Experience safeguarding adults and working with statutory authorities
  • Strong experience in team leadership, recruitment, and performance management
