We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to provide operational leadership and oversight within a 4-bed residential care service supporting people with Autism and complex needs.

About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall operational responsibility for the service, ensuring the smooth running and the allocation and management of staff. You will be responsible for the delivery of excellent operational services, regularly supervising Deputy Managers, Team Leaders and/or Senior Support Workers.
You will monitor and support the delivery of person-centred services to all people using the service within your defined area. You will ensure effective financial administration of the services delivered through the effective deployment of staff and budgets, whilst ensuring the effective and efficient provision of support to the people using the services.
The role requires excellent administrative skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload whilst being financially astute. You will need to be experienced in social care management and the CQC Framework and will possess excellent knowledge of Health & Social Services and applicable regulations and legislation.
You will have experience of motivating and enabling a staff team to achieve good outcomes in partnership with the people being supported, with an emphasis on role modelling best practice in a care environment. You will also have a proven track record of improving and developing services for people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing care team, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred, outcome-focused care that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, health and safety legislation, and other relevant statutory frameworks.
- Prepare for and lead regulatory inspections, implementing improvement plans where required.
- Promote a strong safeguarding culture and ensure all concerns are managed appropriately.
- Oversee medication management, incident reporting, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes.
- Recruit, induct, supervise, and develop staff, while managing performance, attendance, and training compliance.
- Manage staffing levels and participate in the on-call rota to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
- Monitor budgets, control expenditure, and identify efficiencies while maintaining high standards of care.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with commissioners, local authorities, healthcare professionals, families, advocates, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct audits, analyse performance data, and drive continuous service improvement and best practice across the service.
About You
- QCF Level 5 Adult Management Diploma, or equivalent qualification, or be eligible to complete the Level 5 Diploma
- Experienced in social care management, with strong knowledge of services supporting people with disabilities, the CQC regulatory framework, Health & Social Care legislation and applicable regulations
- Proven experience leading, motivating and developing staff teams to achieve positive outcomes, with a strong operational approach and the ability to role-model best practice and maintain high standards of care
- Demonstrable experience improving and developing services for people with disabilities, with a person-centred approach and genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for the people supported
- Excellent organisational, administrative and financial skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively and manage budgets and resources
- Approachable, reliable and dedicated, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, people supported and other stakeholders, while working proactively and confidently in a fast-paced environment and making an immediate and positive contribution
