BRAYSON CONSULTING LTD in Southampton is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead its domiciliary care service, ensuring safe, compliant, person-centred care in people’s own homes.

You will provide leadership to care workers and office staff, oversee audits and safeguarding, and maintain records while building strong partnerships with local authorities and health professionals.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care required.
• Proven experience as Registered Manager or senior care management role.
• Experience in domiciliary care or related adult social care setting.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, health and safety, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the domiciliary care branch in line with CQC regulations and company policies.
• Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to care workers and office staff.
• Promote dignity, independence and person-centred outcomes in service delivery.

REGISTERED MANAGER - DOMICILIARY / HOMECARE

Location: Southampton (community-based)

Salary: £32,000–£42,000 per annum, depending on experience

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead its domiciliary care service and be accountable for the safe, effective and compliant operation of the branch, ensuring that people receive high-quality, person-centred care in their own homes. The role requires strong operational leadership, sound regulatory knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the domiciliary care branch in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations, relevant legislation and company policies.
• Provide effective leadership, supervision and mentoring to care workers, field supervisors and office-based staff.
• Promote a positive culture that places dignity, choice, independence, safety and individual outcomes at the centre of service delivery.
• Complete and oversee initial care assessments, reviews and risk assessments, ensuring that person-centred care plans are accurate, current and responsive to changing needs.
• Check coordination of staff rotas and care visits to maintain safe staffing levels, continuity of care and reliable service delivery.
• Participate in the on-call rota and respond appropriately to urgent operational matters.
• Monitor service quality through audits, spot checks, reviews, feedback and other quality-assurance activities.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and service-user feedback are recorded, investigated, escalated and addressed appropriately.
• Support safe recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training and performance management.
• Maintain complete, accurate and confidential records in line with legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Develop effective working relationships with service users, families, local authorities, health professionals and other partner organisations.
• Support the sustainable development of the service while maintaining quality, compliance and person-centred outcomes.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
• Proven experience as a Registered Manager, or substantial experience as a Care Coordinator or Deputy Manager with readiness to progress into a registered management role.
• Demonstrable experience in domiciliary care or a closely related adult social care setting.
• Strong working knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and person-centred care.
• Experience of supervising staff, managing rotas and monitoring service quality.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
