Job summary

The Fallowfield Project, operated by Equilibrium Healthcare Limited in Manchester, is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the 24-hour supported living service for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

You will oversee care quality, governance, budgets, staff development and ensure compliance with CQC registration. A strong background in regulated care and people leadership is essential.

Job description

The Fallowfield Project is a 24-hour supported living service for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Our approach is centred on choice, independence and person-centred support, helping each person work towards their own goals and live as independently as possible.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality and effective operation of the service.

This is a broad management role covering care quality, compliance, staff leadership, referrals, budgets and service development. You will have the authority to lead the service effectively, supported by EHC’s wider clinical, operational, HR and commercial teams.

The role

As Registered Manager, you will:

• Take overall responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant operation of the service.
• Provide clear leadership to the staff team and maintain a visible presence within the service.
• Ensure care and support are person-centred, outcome-focused and delivered to the required standard.
• Lead governance, audits, safeguarding, incident management and continuous improvement.
• Maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, records and quality assurance systems.
• Manage referrals, assessments and occupancy, working with commissioners and other professionals.
• Manage budgets, staffing resources and operational performance responsibly.Support recruitment and lead on service level induction, supervision, appraisal and staff development.
• Address performance, conduct and attendance matters promptly and fairly.
• Build constructive relationships with the people we support, families, colleagues, commissioners and partner agencies.
• Meet the requirements of the Care Quality Commission and maintain registration as the service’s Registered Manager.
• Ensure all reports and notifications are completed and filed with the relevant stakeholders within a timely manner.
• Operate the service in line with the company ethos of honesty and integrity
• Participate in the management on-call rota.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has management experience within supported living, social care or a comparable regulated service.
• Has a strong working knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding and relevant legislation.
• Can lead, support and hold teams accountable for the quality of their work.
• Is organised, decisive and able to manage competing operational priorities.
• Understands referrals, occupancy, budgets and the wider commercial requirements of a sustainable service.
• Communicates clearly and builds effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Uses sound judgement, takes ownership and follows actions through to completion.
• Is committed to improving outcomes and maintaining high standards across the service.
• Is willing and able to register with the Care Quality Commission as Registered Manager.
