A children's residential care service in Doncaster is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a dedicated team. You will ensure high standards of care, oversee operations, and manage compliance with regulations, creating a nurturing environment for young people. Location: Doncaster, DN6
Work Hours: Monday to Friday (Flexible working available)
Home Capacity: 3-bed service
Service Users: EBD – Low to Medium
Salary: £50,000 + Ofsted Bonus
Annual Leave: 6 weeks + statutory bank holidays
As a Registered Manager, you'll be the heart of the home, ensuring young people receive exceptional care and support in a nurturing environment. Your leadership will drive the team to create a safe, warm, and loving home that helps children and young people integrate into the community, develop life skills, and build a brighter future.
Lead & Inspire – Manage a compassionate care team to create a positive, nurturing environment.
Home Management – Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, policies, and procedures.
Care Planning – Develop and implement personalised care plans to meet each young person’s needs.
Mentorship & Supervision – Support, guide, and supervise staff to maintain high standards of care.
Collaborate with Experts – Work alongside Clinical Psychologists to implement evidence-based interventions.
Recruit & Develop – Take part in hiring, vetting, and onboarding new team members.
Encourage Growth – Help young people engage in therapies, education, and essential life skills.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Experience at a senior level in a Residential Children's home
Full manual driving licence
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Monitor team performance to maintain excellence in service delivery.
Manage budgets while ensuring financial responsibility.
Build positive relationships with young people, staff, and stakeholders.
Maintain a high-quality living environment that feels like home.
Ensure accurate documentation to meet statutory requirements.
Oversee scheduling, training, and team meetings.
Conduct audits (Regulation 44 & 45) to ensure compliance.
Drive continuous improvement by developing risk assessments, health & safety policies, and COSHH procedures.
