Job summary

Start Monday Ltd in Chatham, Kent is seeking an experienced Registered Manager for a four-bed Ofsted-registered children’s home, supporting young people aged 12–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will lead the day-to-day operations and drive high standards of care.

This role requires Level 5 Diploma, substantial residential care experience, and on-call availability. You will be responsible for safeguarding, staff development, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent.
• Five years' experience in children's residential care.
• At least two years' management experience in an Ofsted-registered home.
• Recent Ofsted rating of Good or Outstanding.
• Strong safeguarding, legislation and regulatory knowledge.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

Start Monday is recruiting an experienced Registered Manager for a four-bed Ofsted-registered children’s home in Chatham, supporting young people aged 12–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

This is an opportunity for a confident, child-centred leader to manage the day-to-day running of the home, lead and develop the staff team, maintain high standards of care and safeguarding, and ensure full regulatory compliance.

You will need:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent.
• At least five years’ relevant experience in children’s residential care.
• A minimum of two years’ management experience within an Ofsted-registered children’s home.
• A recent Ofsted inspection grading of Good or Outstanding.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation and regulatory requirements.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
