Job summary

Hargate Healthcare Ltd in Ilford, East London, is recruiting a Registered Children's Home Manager to open and run a brand new home. You will lead the service, ensure Ofsted compliance, and deliver outstanding care with a dedicated staff team.

The successful candidate will manage operations, develop high-quality residential services, and drive safeguarding, budget control, and staff development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Minimum two years' experience in a children's residential setting, with at least one year in a management or senior role.
• Strong understanding of Children’s Home Regulations and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
• Ability to lead, inspire and develop a resilient and motivated staff team.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and child protection.
• Experience managing budgets and ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to open and run a brand new children's home in Ilford.
