Job Purpose
- To provide effective leadership and be accountable for the safe and efficient management of the Respite children’s home.
Key Duties/Accountabilities- Ensure compliance with the Statement of Purposes (SoP) at all times and provide appropriate support to children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Meet the fit persons requirements of a Registered Manager with the approval of CIW.
- Fulfill all duties and responsibilities of a Registered Manager as required by the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) 2016.
- Accept responsibility and accountability for all day-to-day activities of the home and create an open, positive, and inclusive atmosphere.
Essential Experience Required- Significant experience of working in a residential Child Care setting at a senior or management level.
- Experience of performance management frameworks.
- Experience of working in partnership with other agencies.
- Experience of financial management.
- Experience of managing Health & Safety.
- Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Registered Management) Wales & NI is essential.
Additional Information to Note- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Some out of hours working may be required. The post holder is also required to provide on-call cover outside of office hours within an on-call rota.
- Full valid driving licence and sole use of vehicle is a requirement.
