Job summary

Horizon Care and Education Group Ltd seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead our children’s homes in the UK. You will drive high‑quality care, maintain regulatory compliance and inspire a dedicated team to support young people in daily life and meaningful outcomes.

You will oversee safeguarding, budgets and resource planning, ensuring a nurturing, empowering environment aligned with our values and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing children's residential care services.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation.
• Proven leadership, communication and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to a nurturing and empowering environment.
• Hold NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children’s and Young People’s Workforce.
• Possess or be willing to undertake Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services.
• Have a full UK driving license.

Job description

As a Registered Manager, you will support young people in the many different aspects of daily life within our homes including:

• Manage a warm and friendly home that is a safe and supportive environment for our children and young people to achieve positive outcomes authentic to them
• Ensure compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations and deliver high-quality care.
• Lead and inspire a motivated team, providing guidance and support.
• Manage budgets, resources, and the home environment.
• Safeguard young people and liaise with professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure the home's statement of purpose is fulfilled.

What we're looking for from you?

• Extensive experience in children's residential care management.
• A strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to providing a nurturing and empowering environment.
• You hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce
• You also hold your QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services or be willing to undertake this qualification as part of the role.
• Hold a full UK driving license
