Job summary

Horizon Care Ltd is seeking a Registered Manager for a Children’s Residential Home in the West Midlands. The role offers up to £60,000 per year plus a £7,500 joining bonus and a 37.5-hour week. You will lead a caring team, ensure regulatory compliance, and support young people to achieve positive outcomes in a nurturing environment.

Extensive management experience in children's residential care is essential. NVQ/QCF Level 3 and Level 5 Leadership diplomas are required or pursued during the role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in children's residential care management.
• Experience in LD/EBD homes is desirable.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to providing a nurturing and empowering environment.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

As aRegistered Manager, you will support young people in the many different aspects of daily life within our homes including:

• Manage a warm and friendly home that is a safe and supportive environment for our children and young people to achieve positive outcomes authentic to them
• Ensure compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations and deliver high-quality care.
• Lead and inspire a motivated team, providing guidance and support.
• Manage budgets, resources, and the home environment.

• Drive continuous improvement and ensure the home's statement of purpose is fulfilled.

What we’re looking for from you:

• Extensive experience in children's residential care management.
• Experience working in a LD/EBD home is desirable.
• A strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to providing a nurturing and empowering environment.
• You hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce
• You also hold your QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Servicesor be willing to undertake this qualification as part of the role.
• Hold a full UK driving license
