Job summary

Heathcote Valley Montessori Preschool seeks a qualified registered ECE teacher to join our 3–6 room in a Montessori-inspired environment. This is a full-time, permanent role designed for nurturing development within a supportive local community.

You will build strong relationships with children and whānau, deliver an engaging curriculum, complete developmental assessments, and collaborate with a team across our network of centres. Monday to Friday, 30–35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• A qualified and registered teacher with a passion for early childhood education.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 30–35 hours per week.
• Interest in Montessori philosophy and practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment for children.
• Build positive relationships with children, whānau and colleagues.
• Deliver an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that fosters a love of learning.
• Complete developmental assessments and maintain accurate records.
• Work collaboratively with the team to plan and deliver enriching experiences.
• Act as the person responsible for the centre, as directed.
• Deliver care for children aged 3–6 years in a Montessori-inspired setting.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Contribute to creating a positive, nurturing learning environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment for children

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 30-35 hours per week
• The legal right to work in New Zealand. We are not currently offering visa sponsorship for offshore applicants.
