Job summary

Little Diggers is seeking a qualified, registered early childhood kaiako to join our nurturing nursery for a 6-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role offers full pay parity and a collaborative workplace where tamariki can learn and grow.

You will support children's learning, wellbeing and development, build strong relationships with tamariki and their whānau, and contribute to an inclusive, engaging centre environment as part of a caring team.

Little Diggers is looking for a qualified, registered, caring and enthusiastic early childhood teacher to join our team for a 6-month fixed-term maternity leave position in our nursery.

Location: Mandeville Village, Ohoka, North Canterbury
Position: Qualified ECE Teacher – 6-month fixed-term maternity leave cover from 16 th November 2026- 17 th May 2027
Hours: Approximately 37 hours per week
