Carepro Limited in London is seeking an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a newly refurbished three-bed detached home in Rainham, Essex.

You will oversee staffing, budgets, and daily operations, work with Ofsted and social care professionals, and shape a nurturing, child-centred environment from day one. The role requires a Level 5 Diploma and senior residential childcare experience, with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent as per statutory guidance.
  • Proven experience in a children’s residential home.
  • Clear experience dealing with Ofsted inspections and regulatory requirements.
  • At least two years in a senior or deputy role within residential childcare.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and committed Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a newly refurbished three-bed detached home based in Rainham, Essex. This is a rare opportunity to join a family-run organisation that is passionate about providing high-quality, stable, and nurturing care for children and young people.

The home is nearing completion following a full refurbishment and includes a dedicated manager’s office and a staff room, providing a comfortable and professional working environment. You will work closely with the responsible individual who will be submitting the Ofsted application once the registered Manager is appointed, ensuring a strong and well-supported start for the service.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
  • Must currently hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or a qualification considered equivalent by the Council in line with statutory guidance.
  • Proven experience working within a children’s residential home.
  • Clear and demonstrable experience of dealing with Ofsted, including inspections and regulatory requirements.
  • At least two years’ experience in a senior or deputy role within a residential childcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children.
