Job summary

Talosats Careers is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager for a North London children’s home. You will lead the home, safeguard children, and drive trauma‑informed, education‑focused care while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Essential experience includes 5+ years with children in residential care, with 2+ years in supervisory roles, and a proven track record of achieving at least a Good Ofsted rating. Level 3 qualification in care and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working with children in residential care, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in LD (Learning Disabilities) or EDB (Emotional, Developmental, or Behavioural) settings.
• Proven track record of achieving at least a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating as a Registered Manager or senior leadership team member.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the home, ensuring smooth operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as Safeguarding Lead, prioritising children’s safety and welfare.
• Deliver child-centred, trauma-informed care and support children’s independence, education, and wellbeing.
• Oversee admissions, transitions, care planning, and accurate record-keeping.
• Build strong relationships with families, social workers, schools, and external agencies.
• Drive continuous improvement, audits, and compliance with all statutory requirements.

• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
