Job summary

Shropshire Council is seeking a Class 2F Registered Building Inspector to join our Building Control Team of 18 colleagues, within the Planning and Development Services Directorate. You will support the delivery of the transformation programme and help align with changes in legislation under the Building Safety Regulator.

You will enforce Building Regulations in both office and site environments, handling a heavy workload while providing guidance to the team as it grows.

• Support delivery of the Building Control Team's daily duties and contribute to the marketing and development of Building Control and Energy services.
• Provide and implement the requirements of Building Regulations and associated legislation in both office and site environments, managing a varied workload.

Shropshire Council, We are seeking a Class 2F Registered Building Inspector to joining our Building Control Team of 18 colleagues, within Planning and Development Services Directorate. To provide support to the delivery of the transformation programme in line with the Council’s vision, values and strategic objectives. To support the Building Control Team in their daily duties, including the marketing and development of our Building Control and Energy services.

To provide and implement and enforce the requirements of the Building Regulations and Associated Legislation in an effective and efficient manner, both in an office and site environment and dealing with a varied and heavy workload, to ensure that Statutory Requirements are met.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced team person, who is looking for a new and exciting challenge to provide support and guidance to the team as we continue to grow and align with changes in legislation with the emergence of the Building Safety Regulator.
