Job summary

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council is seeking a Registered Building Inspector to support Building Safety Act responsibilities and deliver high quality Building Control services across the borough. You will join a dynamic team, undertake restricted functions appropriate to your competency, with supervision to develop your skills and progress your career.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or NVQ Level 4 qualification in Building Studies or a related construction discipline.
• Willingness to undertake further training and to work towards Degree / Chartered Membership level status of RICS, CABE or CIOB.
• Excellent communication skills together with the ability to present the Building Control Service to customers.
