Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group is seeking a Regional Support Manager to cover Wiltshire, Hampshire, Devon and Cornwall. You will support 7 care homes, provide hands-on operational leadership, guidance to Home Managers, and ensure high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will travel regularly, act as Registered Manager when needed, and contribute to continuous service improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Home Manager or Regional Support Manager within a residential care setting.
• Strong understanding of care quality and regulatory outcomes (CQC).
• Knowledge of safeguarding, care legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and stakeholders.
• Excellent coaching, communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across a portfolio of care homes, including acting as Registered Manager when required.
• Support Home Managers to implement service improvement plans and maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
• Guidance and practical support to Home Managers and Deputy Managers to share knowledge and best practice.
• Assist homes with inspections (CQC and Local Authority) and address areas for improvement.
• Identify challenges with home teams and help implement sustainable improvements.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and local stakeholders.
• Support regional projects and deputise for the District Manager when required.

Contract:37.5 hours per week | Permanent
Salary:£55,000 per annum + £5,800 car allowance

Are you an experienced Regional Support Manager looking for your next challenge, or an exceptional Home Manager ready to take the next step into a multi-site role?

As a Regional Support Manager, you'll provide hands‑on operational support across a portfolio of 7 care homes, helping services navigate change, address challenges and improve performance. Working alongside Home Managers, you'll share your expertise, support service improvements and provide practical guidance where it's needed most, helping homes maintain high standards of safe, high-quality, person‑centred care.

What you’ll do:

• Provide operational support and expertise across a portfolio of care homes, including acting as Registered Manager when required.
• Support Home Managers to implement service improvement plans and maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance and practical support to Home Managers and Deputy Managers, sharing knowledge and best practice to help them succeed in their roles.
• Assist homes with CQC and Local Authority inspections, helping teams prepare and address any areas for improvement.
• Work alongside home teams to identify challenges, resolve issues and support sustainable improvements.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, families and local stakeholders.
• Support regional projects and deputise for the District Manager when required.

• Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding, care legislation and regulatory requirements.
• The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and key external stakeholders.
• Excellent coaching, communication and organisational skills.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
