Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Solar Installation Engineer to install, commission and maintain solar PV systems across the South West region. You will travel to customer sites using a company vehicle and manage your own diary with no on-call obligations.

The role requires 18th Edition, strong solar/electrical knowledge and a Full UK Driving Licence, with salary £45,000–£55,000 plus benefits and a clear path for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Solar Installer, Solar PV Engineer or Installation Engineer.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar and electrical systems.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain solar PV systems across the South West.
• Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and technical troubleshooting on solar systems.
• Provide technical support to customers and installers on solar PV equipment.
• Complete electrical testing and ensure installations meet relevant standards.
• Travel to customer sites across the regional patch using a company vehicle.
• Manage your own diary and workload with no on-call requirement.
