Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Regional Senior Care Assistant to deliver warm, empathetic care across a 20-mile radius. You will monitor care on duty, contribute to person-centred plans and record vital observations, while offering companionship and meaningful engagement for residents.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care with progression to Level 3; GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above; and access to a car for area travel.

Qualifications

• Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care required, with progression to NVQ3.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Willing to travel across the area; own car or access to one.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care when on duty.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning for each resident.
• Record observations on temperature, blood pressure and other vitals.
• Provide support and companionship to residents, including one-to-one time.
