Job summary

Barchester care homes is seeking a Regional Senior Care Assistant to deliver warm, empathetic care within a 20-mile radius. You will monitor care delivery, contribute to person-centred care plans and record vital observations such as temperature and blood pressure.

The role requires a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care with progression to NVQ3, GCSE English and Maths at C or above, and a genuine passion for resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Background in care is important.
• Essential NVQ 2 with view to NVQ 3.
• GCSE English and Maths C or above preferred.
• Dedicated and compassionate attitude toward residents.
• Must be able to travel across the area.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care when on duty.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning for residents.
• Record observations (temperature, blood pressure, etc.).
• Provide support and companionship to residents.
• Ensure residents have meaningful one-to-one time with carers.
