Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Regional Senior Care Assistant to deliver warm, empathetic care across a 20-mile radius of South Shields. You will monitor care delivery, contribute to person-centred care plans, and record observations such as temperature and blood pressure.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care with progression to NVQ3, and GCSEs in English and Maths. You must be able to travel, ideally with your own car, and mileage is covered beyond five miles from your

• Background in care and elderly care understanding.
• Passion and dedication to resident wellbeing.
• Must be able to travel across the area; own car preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care while on duty.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning for each resident.
• Record observations (temperature, blood pressure, etc.).
• Provide support and companionship; ensure meaningful one-to-one time on every shift.
