Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Regional Senior Care Assistant to deliver warm, empathetic care across a 20‑mile radius. You will monitor care delivery, contribute to person‑centred plans and record observations on vital signs, while providing companionship and support on every shift.

You should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with progression towards NVQ 3, plus GCSEs in English and Maths (C+). A own car or access to one is required for area travel.

Qualifications

• Care experience across elderly settings is preferred.
• GV English/Maths GCSE at minimum grade C.
• Willingness to travel across the area with mileage covered over five miles from home.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care during shifts and support residents.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning for each resident.
• Record observations (e.g., temperature, blood pressure) and other vital tasks.
• Provide companionship and meaningful one-to-one time with residents.
