Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is hiring a Regional Senior Care Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centred care across a 20-mile radius from Winchester. You will monitor care delivery, assist with care planning and record vital observations while offering companionship to residents.

The role requires a Full UK driving license with access to a car and the ability to travel across the area. A caring, dedicated approach is expected to support residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care is essential; plan to complete NVQ 3.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above preferred.
• Full UK driving license with access to your own car is required.
• Willingness to travel across the 20-mile radius including Southampton, Winchester and Fareham.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, empathetic care and support across the radius.
• Monitor delivery of care on duty and contribute to person-centred care plans.
• Record observations such as temperature and blood pressure.
• Provide companionship and meaningful one-to-one time with residents.
