Job summary

Motor Fuel Group is seeking an Area Relationship Manager to oversee 16–22 company-owned forecourt stations across Glasgow, Central Scotland and the M8 corridor. This field-based role requires driving performance, managing contractor relations, and ensuring adherence to policies and pricing strategies.

You will lead by example, drive compliance, and coordinate with suppliers to maximise turnover and profit while maintaining brand standards and safety across the estate.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in forecourt/retail sector.
• High self-motivation with ability to work long hours.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• Strong numeracy and financial awareness.
• Willingness to travel up to 40,000 miles/year.
• Ability to build relationships with staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stations operate in line with H&S policies.
• Collate, investigate and communicate incident information.
• Manage communications per company policy.
• Ensure security of company property.
• Conduct monthly fuel audits at each station.
• Review shop, forecourt and food services for compliance.
• Set fuel retail prices to maximise margins.
• Monitor promotions and liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain budgetary expenditure and reporting.
• Support line manager and contractors accordingly.
