Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead a dispersed workforce of operatives and help shape a great service for residents in need. The role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality repairs, voids and property maintenance across a large portfolio.

You will oversee the DLO and strategically use contractors for specialist works, peak demand and compliance, while monitoring performance and driving continuous improvements with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in operational repairs management across a large property portfolio.
• Experience leading DLO teams to deliver repairs, voids and maintenance services.
• Strong commercial awareness with budget management and cost control.
• Experience overseeing contractor relationships and value for money.
• Knowledge of property compliance and HHSRS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of responsive repairs, voids and maintenance across the region, delivering safely and to high standards.
• Manage and optimise the DLO, ensuring field teams are planned, productive and focused on the right work.
• Use contractors strategically for specialist works, peak demand and compliance with standards.
• Monitor repairs performance, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost control with data-driven improvements.
• Line manage field teams with clear expectations on performance, safety and customer service.
• Collaborate with property services colleagues to support asset management and compliance.
• Review feedback and trends, implementing improvements to service delivery and resident experience.
• Present reports to Senior Leadership on operational metrics including repairs, voids and contractor usage.
