Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead a dispersed workforce of operatives and help shape a great service for those who need us most.

You will lead day-to-day management of responsive repairs, void works and property maintenance across the designated region, optimizing the DLO and coordinating with contractors for specialist works and peak demand. Strong leadership and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in repairs management across a large property portfolio.
• Experience leading DLO teams to deliver repairs, voids and maintenance.
• Strong commercial awareness with budgets and contractor spend.
• Experience managing contractor relationships for specialist works.
• Knowledge of property compliance and HHSRS.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of responsive repairs and void works across the region.
• Plan and optimise Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) field teams.
• Use contractors strategically for specialist works and peak demand.
• Monitor performance, productivity, quality, customer satisfaction and costs.
• Line manage field teams with clear expectations on safety, service, and compliance.
• Collaborate with property services for asset management and compliance.
• Review feedback and implement practical improvements to service delivery.
• Present reports to SLT on key metrics such as repairs performance, productivity and contractor usage.
