Job summary

National Highways in England is offering a Project Manager role covering the Yorkshire North East region. You will plan and manage a portfolio of projects within our 5-year rolling capital programme, with emphasis on renewing and improving roadside operational technology assets such as CCTV, message signs, traffic monitoring and signaling equipment.

You will oversee external contractors and consultants, ensure governance, quality, safety and contractual compliance, and report on delivery

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification and proven project management experience.
• Experience delivering civil engineering, technology or infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with regional management, delivery managers and suppliers.
• Manage programmes, financial reporting and risk against capital budgets.
• Ensure governance, quality, health and safety across the supply chain.
• Prepare project business cases and review delivery performance.
• Identify opportunities for portfolio improvements.
