Job summary

National Highways in the Yorkshire North East region is seeking a Project Manager to plan and deliver a portfolio of projects within the region's 5-year capital programme, focusing on renewal and improvement of roadside operational technology assets.

You will manage external contractors, ensure governance, quality, health and safety, and drive portfolio delivery across the supply chain while upholding National Highways' standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in engineering and/or experience in delivery of Civil Engineering, technology or infrastructure projects and portfolios.
• Experience managing complex project portfolios within governed capital programmes.
• Strong stakeholder and contractor management with focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Regional Management Team and stakeholders.
• Manage programmes, financial reporting and risk against capital expenditure budgets.
• Ensure governance, quality assurance and health and safety across the supply chain.
• Identify improvements and drive portfolio and project management best practice across Operations.
• Oversee delivery of the portfolio and ensure contractual/commercial controls are in place.
