Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Regional Powered Access Engineer to cover Yorkshire with occasional travel to Newcastle, Peterborough and Manchester. The role involves maintenance, servicing and repair of powered access equipment, diagnosing faults, completing PDI and LOLER inspections, and ensuring safety and reliability.

You will travel across the regional patch, enjoy a Monday–Friday pattern, and receive a company van, fuel card, door-to-door travel, and a strong pension/benefits package

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CAP Engineer.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience servicing and repairing powered access equipment.
• IPAF and CAP qualifications/licences are essential.
• NVQ qualification or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on powered access and associated equipment.
• Attending customer sites to diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Carrying out inspections and repairs to ensure equipment is safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
• Completing PDI inspection work.
• Carrying out LOLER inspections where required.
• Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
• Providing excellent customer service while representing the company on customer sites.
• Travelling across the regional patch, primarily covering Yorkshire, with occasional travel towards Newcastle, Peterborough and Manchester.
• Completing all relevant service reports and paperwork accurately.

• OTE: £50,000+
• Shifts: Monday – Friday – 8am to 5:30pm
• Overtime paid at 1.5
• Van + Fuel Card + paid door to door

My client, a provider of powered access and plant equipment, is looking for an experienced CAP Engineer to join their expanding regional engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a stable Monday-to- Friday position, with paid door-to-door travel and a company van provided.

• Flexibility to travel across the regional patch when required.

Regional Coverage:

• The role will primarily cover Yorkshire, with the territory extending:
• Yorkshire
• Up to Newcastle when required
• Down towards Peterborough on occasion
• Across towards Manchester when required
• The majority of the work will be within the Yorkshire region, with longer-distance travel being less frequent.
