Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Mobile Powered Access Engineer to service, maintain, repair and inspect a fleet of MEWPs covering Peterborough and surrounding areas.

This field-based role requires strong electrical, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge, with CAP/LOLER qualifications preferred. A full UK driving licence and a professional customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working on powered access equipment / MEWPs.
• CAP qualification preferred but not essential.
• LOLER qualification preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair powered access equipment / MEWPs.
• Diagnose faults across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Attend customer sites for servicing and breakdowns.
• Complete PDI checks, inspections, and planned maintenance.
• Carry out LOLER inspections where qualified.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service.

Job description

Position: Mobile Powered Access Engineer

Hours: Monday to Friday – Days

Salary: £45,000

Overtime paid at 1.5

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Powered Access Engineer to join a well-established powered access business covering Peterborough and the surrounding areas. This is a field-based role servicing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting a fleet of MEWPs.

The Role:

• Service, maintain, and repair powered access equipment / MEWPs
• Diagnose faults across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Attend customer sites for servicing and breakdowns
• Complete PDI checks, inspections, and planned maintenance
• Carry out LOLER inspections where qualified
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working on powered access equipment / MEWPs
• Strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge
• CAP qualified preferred but not essential
• LOLER qualified preferred but not essential to start
• Confident fault-finding and working independently
• Good computer and paperwork skills
• Full UK driving licence
