Job summary

Lanes Group, via Sapphire Utility Solutions, is seeking a Regional Operations Manager based in Leyland to oversee TM depots at Leyland, North Wales, Bradford and Stafford. The role drives profitable delivery across a multi-depot network in a fast-moving environment.

You will lead regional teams, ensure safe, compliant, high-quality service, and meet SLAs and KPIs while maintaining customer focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading and supervising a regional depot team.
• Must hold NRSWA accreditation and LANTRA 12ABCD.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong leadership, commercial and operational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver budget for North and Midlands depots for a high volume 24/7 traffic management service across a multi-sector client base.
• Ensure the smooth, effective and proactive delivery of service across the depot network, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Lead by example and instill the core values of the business.
• Ensure that client SLAs and KPIs are exceeded.
• Be a go-to person on day-to-day regional operational issues and motivate teams.

About The Role

Based in the Leyland, the Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for the TM Depots based in Leyland, North Wales, Bradford and Stafford locations, each with a depot manager, and a large workforce.

This dynamic operational management role comes with a significant amount of responsibility. Heading up delivery across a multi-depot network, you will be expected to ensure profitable delivery of sales lines across a fast-moving reactive and planned environment.

You will be working with regional and national clients across all commercial and industrial sectors and delivering service that meets a variety of SLAs and KPIs.

You will ensure the consistency and quality of delivery that maintains the company's reputation.

Location: North based (Head Office is Leyland, Lancashire)

Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm)

Responsibilities - But Not Limited To

• Delivery of budget for the North and Midlands depots for a high volume 24/7 reactive and planned traffic management service across a multi-sector client base.
• To ensure the smooth, effective, and proactive delivery of service across the depot network, maintaining consistency and quality in all service streams within the core business sector.
• To lead by example and instill the core values of the business.
• Ensuring that ‘what matters to the customer’ is at the heart of everything your depots and your teams do.
• Managing the cost-effective delivery of service while achieving the high quality of service Lanes customers have come to expect.
• Ensuring that client SLAs and KPIs aligned with their company philosophies are exceeded.
• Be a ‘go to’ person on a day-to-day basis about all operational issues in your region and a role model for peers both inside and outside Lanes.
• Motivate and develop each team to be accountable for a right first-time approach and to deliver exceptional customer service.

Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role

• You must have a full UK driving licence
• Confident in systems and functions
• Experience of leading and supervising a team - Operational Managerial experience required
• To hold NRSWA accreditation
• LANTRA 12ABCD
• Knowledge of permit schemes
• You will be an enthusiastic and committed individual with an ability to self-manage.
• You will be able to quickly integrate yourself, and work to a very high standard, within an established team. Your exceptional operational and commercial skills will be key to your success in this role.
• You will have worked in a reactive service industry and will have traffic management experience. You will also have excellent leadership, coaching and motivational skills to inspire individuals and teams to deliver a profitable outturn.
