Job summary

Cross Rental Services is seeking a high-impact Regional Operations Manager to lead the Andover depot and drive field operations across the region. You will own performance, people development, and delivery excellence in a fast-paced, engineering-driven HVAC rental business.

You’ll work with Planning, Sales, Technical and Senior Operations leadership to align assets and capability to demand, building high-performing teams and embedding Right First Time, safety and customer satisfaction at scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in HVAC, engineering or industrial services.
• Proven depot and field team management across multiple sites.
• Strong track record driving KPI improvements, productivity and Right First Time.
• Customer-first mindset with ability to manage escalations and customer delivery.

Are you a high-impact operational leader ready to take ownership of a fast-paced, engineering-driven HVAC operation?

We’re looking for a Regional Operations Manager to lead our Andover depot — our head office and largest operational hub — while driving field operations across the region. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape performance, people, and customer delivery in a growing HVAC rental business.

This is more than a depot role—it’s a regional leadership position where you’ll:

• Lead end-to-end operations across depot, workshop, warehouse, and field engineering
• Drive operational excellence, productivity, and Right First Time performance
• Build and develop high-performing teams across multiple disciplines
• Play a key role in customer satisfaction, retention, and commercial success

You’ll work closely with Planning, Sales, Technical and Senior Operations leadership to ensure our people, assets, and capability are aligned to demand.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll take full ownership of operational delivery across our flagship Andover depot and regional field teams, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance day-to-day execution with driving longer-term performance, productivity and customer excellence.

Lead Regional Operations

• Inspire and manage depot and field based engineering teams—driving a strong performance culture built on accountability, safety and results.

Drive Depot & Field Performance

• Oversee equipment readiness, maintenance scheduling and field deployment, ensuring resources are fully optimised and aligned to customer demand.

Improve Productivity & Quality

• Enhance engineering utilisation and Right First Time performance through data, coaching and continuous improvement.

Ensure Safety & Compliance

• Embed a safety-first mindset and maintain high standards across all operational, engineering and compliance activities.
• Build strong relationships, manage escalations, and ensure operational decisions support both customer outcomes and business performance.

Develop High-Performing Teams

• Recruit, coach and grow talent while building a capable and engaged workforce for the future.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven leadership experience in HVAC, engineering, Industrial services, rental or field services environments
• Strong track record managing both depot and field based teams
• Experience driving KPI’s, operational improvements and productivity gains
• A customer first mindset with the ability to manage escalations
• Excellent communication, planning and problem solving skills
• A hands on leader who thrives in a fast paced, high accountability arena
