Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking a Regional Manager to lead a major onshore renewables portfolio in the UK. You will build and lead a high-performing regional team of engineers, ensuring safe, reliable maintenance and delivery, while meeting performance targets and client expectations.

In this senior role, you’ll shape regional strategy, manage budgets and contracting, and collaborate with planners and stakeholders to optimise asset availability and EBITDA across your region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' proven experience leading and managing a region or team, with budgeting, P&L accountability, and people management.
• Minimum of five years' progressive leadership experience within a large utility or renewable energy provider.
• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with strong client relationship experience.
• Recognised technical M&E qualifications.
• A recognised Health and Safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Champion a market-leading safety culture, creating a safe working environment for staff and visitors.
• Drive the assigned portfolio of assets to exceed performance benchmarks and deliver operational excellence.
• Coordinate with the Regional Planner to ensure service orders are scheduled, completed, and reported with precision.
• Deliver rigorous KPI management and strong governance across operations.
• Maximise production and asset availability through proactive maintenance practices.
• Lead EBITDA-focused performance against budgets, ensuring commercial discipline.
• Build long-term client relationships to secure repeat and expanded business.
• Prepare commercially sound proposals for new contracts and services within existing contracts.
