Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking a development-focused professional to drive onshore solar project growth in the UK, from early-stage opportunities through investment readiness. You will manage cross-functional workstreams, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure robust financial modelling and forecasting to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences, finance or engineering.
• 2+ years in wider renewables or infrastructure.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects with tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of land rights, planning, and PPAs helpful.

Responsibilities

• Drive opportunities by coordinating with development and stakeholders to secure permitting and investment readiness.
• Negotiate land rights, deeds, permits, DNO offers, and PPAs where required.
• Lead meetings, report progress to peers and Executives, ensuring clear communication.
• Run financial models and use price indicators to meet margin requirements.
• Forecast project cashflows aligned with budgets and investment committees.
