Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the Midlands sub-region’s commercial performance across multiple social housing refurbishment contracts in Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham and surrounding areas. You will guide a team of QSs, maintain robust commercial controls, and protect contract profitability while coordinating with clients, suppliers and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step up.
• Refurbishment projects in occupied/live environments advantageous.
• Experience in social housing planned works would be a distinct advantage.
• Able to travel across the region; full UK driving licence and DBS check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial performance of the Midlands sub-region across multiple contracts.
• Manage regional forecasting, future projections and commercial reporting.
• Oversee monthly CVR process for sub-regional contracts; ensure accuracy and challenge.
• Monitor budgets, profitability, risk and opportunity; report changes affecting cost or programme.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and maintain commercial controls.
• Oversee applications for payment, invoicing, valuations and collection of monies.
• Review subcontractor payments and support commercial negotiations.
• Assist estimates, bids, tenders and procurement strategy.
• Collaborate with operational teams and clients to define project requirements.
