Job summary

Leaders In Care Ltd. seeks a Regional Manager to oversee nursing and residential care services across Greater Manchester and Liverpool. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic regional oversight, ensuring safe, compliant, and financially sustainable operations.

You will support Home Managers, monitor quality and governance, and work toward occupancy targets while building strong teams. There is one remote work day weekly, with potential for progression to Nominated Individual

Qualifications

• Senior operational leadership experience within elderly care.
• Nursing qualification with active NMC PIN desirable?
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding, clinical governance and care home operations.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop Home Managers across nursing and residential care services.
• Monitor quality, safeguarding, clinical governance and CQC compliance.
• Lead improvement plans where services require additional operational support.
• Review key performance indicators including occupancy, staffing, agency spend and budget performance.
• Work with managers to build stable, accountable and high-performing teams.
• Provide hands-on leadership and Registered Manager cover when required.
• Maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, local authorities and external professionals.
• Contribute to wider regional strategy and future growth plans.
• Progress towards Nominated Individual responsibility, if this is agreed as part of your development.

Regional Manager

Greater Manchester to Liverpool | Elderly Care
Circa £70,000 per annum.

A growing elderly care provider is seeking a capable Regional Manager to support a portfolio of nursing and residential services across the Greater Manchester and Liverpool area.

This is a hands-on operational role, ideal for an experienced Operations Manager, or a strong Registered Manager ready to step into regional leadership. You will work closely with fellow Regional Managers across a shared portfolio of eight homes, providing practical support to ensure services deliver safe, compliant and commercially sustainable care.

The role.

You will oversee the quality, operational performance and development of a number of care homes within the region. You will support Home Managers to improve standards, maintain regulatory compliance, strengthen occupancy and develop stable, effective teams.

There will be occasions where you may need to provide interim Registered Manager support within a service. In time, there may also be an opportunity to take responsibility for the provider's Nominated Individual status.

One day working from home is available each week, subject to business needs.

About you.

• You will have senior operational leadership experience within elderly care.
• Applications are welcomed from existing Operations Managers and ambitious, high-performing Registered Managers looking for a step up.
• A nursing qualification with an active NMC PIN is highly desirable.
• You will have a strong working knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding, clinical governance and care home operations.
• You will be confident supporting services through improvement, change and regulatory challenge.
• You will be commercially aware, well organised and comfortable working across multiple priorities.
• You will be visible, credible and practical in your approach with home teams.
