Job summary

Care Outlook is seeking a Regional Manager to lead Extra Care schemes in Stoke-on-Trent and oversee the managers who run them. You will report to the Operations Director and spend time on schemes, living within easy reach of Stoke-on-Trent.

The role includes safeguarding, audits, budget oversight, recruitment, training, and building strong relationships with authorities and families. There is potential to expand to nearby schemes as the region grows.

Qualifications

• Senior level management experience in adult social care (Extra Care/domiciliary)
• Experience managing multiple services or managers
• Requires Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards)
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and inspections
• Experience managing budgets and using data to improve performance
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Responsibilities

• Lead Registered and Branch Managers to meet quality and financial targets
• Ensure all schemes meet CQC standards via visits and audits
• Lead safeguarding and serious incident response across the region
• Manage complaints handling and timeliness
• Oversee regional budget and cost control
• Oversee recruitment and staff training to ensure adequate skills
• Provide support to managers, including some out-of-hours cover
• Build relationships with local authorities, commissioners, housing providers and families
• Report regional performance to the Operations Director
• Identify growth opportunities and support tenders when they arise

Job description

We're looking for a Regional Manager to lead our Extra Care schemes in Stoke-on-Trent and the managers who run them. As we grow in the area, the role may take on other schemes nearby.

You’ll report to our Operations Director. You’ll be out at the schemes regularly, so you need to live within easy reach of Stoke-on-Trent.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support your Registered and Branch Managers to meet their quality and financial targets
• Keep every scheme in line with CQC standards through regular visits and audits
• Lead on safeguarding and serious incidents across the region
• Make sure complaints are handled properly and on time
• Manage the regional budget and keep control of costs
• Oversee recruitment and training, so every scheme has enough staff with the right skills
• Support your managers when things go wrong, including some out-of-hours cover
• Build good working relationships with local authorities, commissioners, housing providers and families
• Report to the Operations Director on how the region is doing
• Look for chances to grow the region and support tenders when they come up

Qualifications & Experience

• Senior management experience in adult social care, ideally in Extra Care or domiciliary care
• Experience managing more than one service, or managing other managers
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent. If you’re working towards it, we’d still like to hear from you.
