Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Perthyn is a large not-for-profit organisation supporting around 190 adults with learning disabilities across England and Wales. We are committed to providing just the right amount of support to enable each person to play to their strengths, maximise their independence and live a full and active life.
We invest heavily in people through comprehensive training, leadership development and career progression opportunities. Our values place the people we support at the centre of everything we do, promoting choice, control, inclusion and meaningful outcomes.
In Shropshire, we support people living in their own homes, both in shared accommodation and individual tenancies. People may require support with everyday living skills, maintaining relationships, managing finances, communication, emotional wellbeing and achieving personal goals. Our Positive Behaviour Support Team works closely with managers and staff to promote positive outcomes and quality of life.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supported Living Manager, Deputy Regional Manager or operational leader who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Reporting to the Head of Support & Inclusion, you will provide leadership and direction to a group of Supported Living Managers who each lead with a cluster of houses within the Shropshire region.
You will work alongside an experienced Regional Manager who oversees the other half of the county, providing excellent opportunities for coaching, mentoring and professional development. This makes the role ideal for someone with strong operational management experience who is ambitious, eager to learn and ready to broaden their leadership responsibilities.
As part of Perthyn's Senior Management Team, you will play a key role in maintaining high-quality support, driving service development, supporting organisational growth and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who can confidently support teams through periods of change, growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
PBS experience is beneficial but not essential.
We're looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and committed to achieving excellent outcomes for the people we support.
You will be a visible leader who can motivate managers and their teams to achieve high standards whilst providing appropriate support and challenge. You'll be equally comfortable "zooming in" to understand the needs and progress of individual people we support, and "zooming out" to analyse regional performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about developing people, improving quality and helping Perthyn continue to grow and innovate.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. Perthyn is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support and expects all employees to share this commitment.
If you're an experienced manager looking for the next step in your leadership career and want to make a genuine difference to the lives of the people we support, we'd love to hear from you.
