Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our Property & Facilities team. You will perform a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across multiple sites, ensuring buildings are safe and compliant for the people we support.

You will travel between services, handle plumbing, joinery, minor electrical work and general repairs, and log tasks in our CAFM system. A full UK driving licence is essential; a van is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Operative/Handyperson, ideally multi-site.
• General multi-trade skills including plumbing, joinery and basic electrical tasks.
• Strong understanding of compliance, Health & Safety, and safe working practices.
• Confidence using IT systems (MS Office, CAFM or similar).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks (plumbing, joinery, decoration, minor electrical work).
• Complete fire safety, legionella and compliance checks.
• Provide excellent customer service to Service and Operations Managers across the region.
• Log and update maintenance tasks using CAFM system.
• Manage workload and meet SLAs; keep van stock and tools cost-effective.
• Travel between services and occasional overnight stays as required.
