Job summary

Lucy Electric UK is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales of the full Lucy Electric product range across the UK, focusing on utility and industrial sectors. The role is home-based with regular visits to offices and customers in the UK.

You will manage a team of sales engineers, drive new business, and work with Tendering, Contracts and Service teams to win bids. The successful candidate will have proven experience selling substations and MV switchgear to DNOs/IDNOs, and strong

Qualifications

• Experience selling package substations and MV switchgear to UK DNOs, EPCs, ICPs, IDNOs and consultants.
• Proven engineering sales/business development experience.
• Experience handling multiple large bids.
• Experience managing contracts/framework agreements.
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
• Experience of solution selling and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of LV/MV switchgear and automation systems.
• HNC/HND in engineering or relevant industry experience.
• UK driving licence.
• Desirable – Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed budgeted sales targets in the UK region.
• Develop plans for existing and new customers aligning with 5-year strategy.
• Generate new business with potential new customers in the region for existing and new products/services.
• Manage key accounts within the region to ensure high retention.
• Lead and develop the sales team; set and monitor performance targets.
• Maintain customer records via CRM system.
• Coordinate with Head of Industrial Sales and collaborate with UK Sales Office, Service, Technical and Contracts Departments.
• Prepare budget pricing information, proposals, quotations, tenders with colleagues as needed.
• Prepare monthly sales forecasts and management reports.
• Gaining client approvals or specifications using techno-commercial knowledge to drive products ahead of competition.
• Develop professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks and societies.
