Job summary

Flogas Britain is seeking a Health & Safety Support Manager to assist the Head of Occupational Health & Safety in developing and implementing HSE management systems. You will support safe operations across distribution, production and manufacturing with a focus on reducing incidents and promoting a positive safety culture.

You will lead regional HSE activities, collaborate with managers and external partners, and drive improvements while accommodating regular travel and overnight stays.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and standards.
• Knowledge of safety management systems and risk control tools.
• Experience in investigating HSE incidents and near misses to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence at all levels.
• Written and oral communication skills; proficient with databases, spreadsheets and incident systems.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and support HSE targets.
• Willingness to travel and accommodate overnight stays.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE guidance to senior management and colleagues across regions. Deliver leadership with insights to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risks.
• Act as point of contact for HSE matters; collaborate with local teams to foster a safety culture.
• Support a safe, environmentally responsible workplace by aligning with external standards and local challenges.
• Ensure working arrangements meet HSE standards and promote a positive safety culture.
• Serve as primary regional HSE contact; partner with internal and external stakeholders to share knowledge and minimise losses and incidents.
• Lead implementation and monitoring of critical HSE systems and ensure regulatory and company compliance.
